Spin Beetles have been my crappie lure of choice for decades. Works just as well for larger bluegill and large mouth bass. I fish alot, this is my most often used spinning rod lure.

If you fish for freshwater gamefish, panfish, this is a lure you should have in your tacklebox. I have always had better luck with these in the smaller sizes, and usually the white or chartreuse colors. Along with such classics as the red/white daredevil spoon, Johnson's Silver Minnow, Castmasters and Aglia spinners, this should be a staple in your tacklebox. Better yet, they are cheap and the components interchange so you can easily swap out a larger blade or different color. You can't go wrong with these!
