Answer: I’ve used a 12v battery to night fish and had no problems

how deep can it go

Answer: I’ve submerged it up to 10’ but mostly just a few feet fishing for crappie. Works great.

Got this for my hubby, who wanted to start night fishing. Puts off a lot of light. Doesn't take long to attract bait fish, which attracts the bigger fish. He is happy with it & has raved about it to all his buddies. Highly recommend! He fashioned a small piece of pool noodle to the top of it & used a clip with some nuts for weight at the bottom.

This is a pretty good light for 20 bucks. On a scale of 1-10 regarding brightness I would rate it a 9. Easy hook up. The eye bolt on the end is great to hook a weight to for submerging the light or else it would float and not be with the trouble.
