I've nick named this as zekes fish crack. It's a great bait. Use a size 16 treble hook, use just enough bait to cover the hook and use use one split shot sinker about a foot from the hook. I've caught rainbow trout fast with this. As the weather gets warmer and the water grasses get taller taller I'm having to rethink my rig.
