Answer: Middelton invented the beetle spin when he owned a fish camp on Blue Cypress in Florida. Using the small to the large, I have caught bass, crappie, catfish, blue gill, and many other freshwater species. I've found that the yellow has had more success than others, but it really depends on the weather conditions. I've caught fish when others couldn't catch a thing. I have been invited to go fishing, out fished my host and never asked to come back again. Many fishing lures catch more fisherman than fish, but the Beetle Spin isn't one of them.
