So This Just Happened ~
Sometimes it works out. Introducing my new 2016 Lund Pro V Bass ~ for me, it's a Game Changer.
I’ll be loading in the gear tomorrow. The Maiden voyage is scheduled for this weekend, weather permitting (Big Rain in the forecast)
Here's the Stats ~ Length 18’ 9”, Beam 96”, Standard Boat Weight 1475, Weight Capacity 1650, Fuel Tank 36 Gals
Powered by 200 HP Optimax w 21 Tempest Prop, Mercury Smart Graft Gauge Upgrade, Sea Star Hydraulic Steering w/Tilt Helm, Vinyl Main Deck, Removable Port Console w/Wind Screen, Dual Pro PS4 4 Bank Battery Charger, 36 V system powered by 4 Optima Blue top 31’s, that's the power for the Minn Kota Fortrex 112/62/US2, 12 ft Talon x2, Hummingbird Helix 10 SI KVD X2 (flush mounted at console & bow), Hummingbird Precision GPS Receiver, all sitting on a Custom single axle Galvanized Bunk swing tongue trailer, w/ LED Lighting & a Travel Cover.
Huge Props go to Maple Bay Marine in Brutus, MI. True Professionals in every sense of the word. Both the Sales & Service dept displayed a real commitment to working with me on getting this as close to right the first time as we could. With the Pro V Bass being in a totally new model, there were a few items that needed some TLC. Additionally, I had a few A-Jay Alterations I wanted to make that required some fitment modifications & in house fabrication. These guys were all over it. So this project came & went together seamlessly. I couldn’t be happier.
Massive thunderstorms on the way home from the dealer required the custom cover - worked well.

I've spent many very memorable days & nights in the old Town and it will always have a special place ~ in my garage. 
So retired ~ Sort of I guess.
In the sense that my days of farting around at 2.9 mph in the wind with the trolling motor are pretty much over.
I'll still get out in it here & there, but realistically it will only see the very smallest of waters and they'll be the "Paddle only" locals.
Since my wife & I are both former US Coast Guard small Boat Coxswains ~ who haven't been behind a helm in A While, there may be some challenges sharing the wheel time. (which I will gracious loose Every Time).

Congratulations my friend! A long list of high quality components. Well done. What trolling motor did you go with? You are going to love the Talons. Having breaks on a bass boat is a game changer. You will find yourself correcting for wind and current out of habit for a minute. Then you will wonder how you got by without them. Enjoy!

Outstanding - I am very interested in your experiences as you learn your new rig.
I'd have set it up just like that, with one exception - I'd swap the Fortrex for an Ulterra...but that's just a preference.

Cleaning it up & starting to rig and add gear today.(in the garage) Of course the dealer did their customary clean & prep before I picked it up, but the A-Jay version is seriously next level. Always includes quite a bit more attention to detail (insert I take stuff apart). It's also I great way to check over the entire rig as well as learn a ton about every aspect of the boat, motor, trailer & all associated options / equipment. Been doing on my trucks for a while now & it has served me well. But I got the time too.
So with all of that said, It's been Thundering / Raining off & on all day here and it's forecasted to continue through Sunday - Monday might be the first reasonable Launching . . And Yes, I do mean Launching.

By fully clothed I mean multi-layered. I think the last time I was out in either late October or early November I had thermal undies, nice work pants, two pairs of socks, tee shirt, long sleeve shirt, and a hoodie and after about an hour still put my coat on. And I wasn't miserable. Hard to be miserable when catching Great Lakes smallies.

I fish from Ice out (This year that was late March) until the ice is thick enough to stop me from launching (usually sometime in November)...if I really wanted to I could fish the Mississippi through the winter...but it's a ways to travel and it's walleye fishing...not my thing.

Been there done that. When I bought my current and first big boat I'm wanting to say it was the fifth trip before I hooked a fish. In hindsight I think it was because I was more concerned with boating than fishing. Loved every minute of getting blanked though, wouldn't change a thing.

A jay, I got a sign from God today. Was on my way home from the lake and a car pulls next to me. Asking about the predator. Turns out he was a Lund salesman. He gives me a catalog and his card and says he'll cut me one hell of a deal on a ProV bass if i trade in the Predator........

If you sell that Predator, folks will be lined up to buy it.
Don't trade it in...that's what the sales guy is hoping. He wants that boat, better that the difference between trade in and market wind up in your pocket, not his.

I would never trade it. If I were to ever get rid of it I'd sell it outright. I've had multiple unsolicited offers for it already. A Jay may have been one of those offers.....j/k. I've actually been in close contact with both A Jay and Junk Fisherman for many years helping them look for used Predators. They have both bought great "all terrain" boats.

You're on the right track, IMO. No way I'd sell my boat either...but it's really good to know that if something bad happens there's a great replacement in the form of the Pro-V Bass!

The Removable passenger console is a standard Lund option on the Pro V Bass. I think it's a must have - plus I think it "finishes" the look of the boat. Also the glove box storage in it is Cavernous

Also, will take some HUGE waves to pull that Fortrex out of the water with that 60" shaft. Have 52" on my Champion now and it's never come close but I don't often run into anything like one might on the Great Lakes. Thought I might regret that longer shaft but now would not want it any shorter.

Congrats. You're going to be amazed at how many more fish you will catch in a day. You'll get in many more casts when those fifteen minute, 2.9 mph runs get reduced to a minute or two.
You'll also have the benefit of history, when you've found those tiny patches of fish holding bottom in your canoe that you would miss because you pass them faster than the blink of an eye in your new boat.

@DINK WHISPERER I know ~ but I played the 'board up my home, pack all my stuff & run from the Hurricane game", several times & for many years.
Didn't care for it.
So when it came time choose a place to retire, I made a choice that took that scene completely out of play.
I do have a bit of snow but some decent smallmouth fishing.
So I take it as it comes.

Bummer...really. Curious...they absolutely, 100%, won't take drop offs later than that? Even if you pay up front?
The "boat garage" is the way to go, and I'm really bummed for you...in PA, you've gotta have another 8-10 weeks of open water, don't you?

Yea. There's a schedule from r dropping off. Starts at the end of September and last day is October 27th this year. It has to be picked up by the first week in April. You have to schedule a drop-off day. I think they plan ahead of time where your stuff goes to maximize storage in the barn.
We have lots of open water left. Sometimes there's open water on one river or another all year, especially below the locks.

We have that up here too, on the Mississippi...about an hour and a half away. I've only tried it twice, it's almost exclusively walleye fishing...something I lack the patience for.

I learned a lot about fishing structure, current, and reading electronics, river fishing for walleye. Northern IL is full of soup bowl lakes with little to no structure. The Wisconsin River however....When I initially got side imaging I thought the graph was defective. It never showed anything like I was seeing in online screenshots. It wasn't showing anything because it did not exist. The section of river I fish is full of ledges, humps, drops, and sand bars. I learned what to look for on the graphs and how to see subtle differences which I was then able to use on my local IL lakes.
Unfortunately, the walleye population is non existent on the IL waters of Lake Michigan but we make it up with the booming population of gobies.

Made me smile...we've got a fair amount of structure here, but nothing like down south with flooded timber, sunken bridges and road beds...
I've got a rock pile on the outside bend of the Chippewa River near here that makes strong men sweat when it comes up on Side Imaging. Smallmouth guys have been known to fall to their knees, look to the sky and chant, "Thank you, God! Thank you!"
...then I went to Canada, started fishing Canadian Shield lakes. Oh, Baby....could you see structure...

I forgot to mention, the section of river I fish was at one time a logging route. Really neat how I am able to see the original river channel prior to damming and the logs that had broken free. There's an awful lot of guys who troll the river channel. I haven't had much luck doing that and spend most of my time jigging cliff walls

That's cool stuff...
The Chippewa River around here was logging central for a while...the biggest mill in the world was on the river right in town for years.
It is cool to be able to run the old channels in Lake Wissota and see stuff like that. Too bad it's mostly the Dead Sea when it comes to fishing....

So you're in north central WI? I've fished Wissota and the Chippewa. Used to have relatives in Boyd which is about an hour east of Chippewa Falls

About half way between Chippewa and Bloomer...I can be on the north end of Wissota in 10 minutes...but I can be on better water in the same amount of time going north, and if I go 20 minutes...much better.
With HWY 29 being all 4 lane, Boyd is probably less than half an hour these days. I work with a woman who lives in Stanly and it takes her a little over a half hour to get to our office in Chippewa Falls.

It was 2 boats ago since I've been there, so prior to 2004. My relatives have since passed. Maybe 10 years already

I've been here since '04, so we overlapped a little bit.
Between HWY29 being 4 lane limited access and the HWY 53 bypass you can really get around up here now...not like when we moved here and it was 40 minutes to the south side of Eau Claire....I can be down near the mall in 25 minutes now.

I hate trolling too, but this summer we did a bit and it wasn't bad. Maybe because the action was so hot. Time between bites was short. My next boat will be more walleye centered than bass. It's easy to bass fish from a walleye boat but not as easy to walleye fish from a bass boat!

I wondered if anyone would catch that...
I've been after that particular fish for four seasons now, seen her a dozen times. She's seen every musky lure known to man (and some that aren't) a dozen times thrown by every one who thinks they know how to catch a musky.
I finally got her to eat.
7" Senko over an 8/0 Trokar EWG. 18" of Tyger Leader FG'd to 50# 832 Suffix, Medium Heavy TFO 7', 3" GTS with a Diawa Tatula CT.
